Course Overview

The workshop begins with a global view of tides and currents and progresses to the application of tides and currents created along the East Coast and Long Island Sound. The workshop is an exceptional presentation on the tides and currents of Long Island Sound.

This knowledge will help sailing racers apply tide and current knowledge and gain a competitive edge. It will give motor and sailing cruisers the knowledge to use currents favorably and to avoid struggle, excessive fuel burn. Learn to take advantage of tides and currents to speed you to your destination. Additionally special current hazards like The Race and Hell’s Gate will be evaluated and discussed. You will be challenged with a major plotting exercise to demonstrate and teach the concepts.
