Instructors

Capt. John Corsaut
Captain Corsaut is a resident of New York City and has his Master Captain License along with his American Sailing Association (ASA) certificate to teach all their courses and to be an Instructor Evaluator on those same courses. Capt. John continues to augment his sailing abilities on the numerous boats and Sailing Races he has participated in. He has instructed at a number of area sailing schools and we are fortunate to have him training here at Landfall Marine Training Center.

Mr. Randy Dinter
Mr. Dinter has worked as a marine technician in the local Long Island Sound area for most of the last 35 years and is presently the Shop Foreman at Brewers Yacht Haven in Stamford, CT.    He holds a Seaman's Certificate, has been licensed by the US Coast Guard, and holds several certifications through ABYC and Mercury Marine.  He has been teaching the Engine Maintenance course for the Captain's Harbor Power & Sail Squadron for over 10 years.

Capt. Eric Knott 
Having first-hand knowledge of spending time in a life raft, Capt. Knott brings a unique prospective and opinion to both his job as Assistant Safety Manager for a large, international tug/towing company and to his students’ education in the classroom. Read more…

Capt. Marty Liljequist 
Capt. Liljequist's love of the water began as a kid, fishing with her dad on the Mississippi and Wapsi Rivers. After relocating to New England some 25 years ago, Capt. Liljequist was introduced to the sailing life on a 17’ Cat Boat and ended with a 42’ sloop. Read more…

Capt. Lenny Lipton
Captain Lipton is a lifelong sailor in the Long Island Sound and neighboring waters. He has been active with the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Power Squadron where he is rated as an instructor and has been Chairman of the Sail Course. His broad racing experience includes collegiate racing, and a variety of one designs and handicap cruising boats.  Lenny has been active for over 20 years in the environmental education movement on the Hudson, for many years skippering a smaller version of the Clearwater doing educational sails.

Capt. Henry E. Marx
Combining his professional and recreational sailing experience, Capt. Marx has grown Landfall Navigation from a small chart supplier into the highly-respected, leading source of marine safety gear and nautical publications. Read more…

Capt. Lori Rainaldi
Capt. Rainaldi has built her current portfolio of active affiliations into a very long list. In addition to being a member in the USCG Auxiliary: Flotilla 7-1 Stamford, Lori also holds a National Staff Position and is the Division 7 Secretary in the Auxiliary. Read more…
